The soundtrack on PS3 Madden 10 is another facet that will get hardcore gamers going. The past few years have seen the soundtracks becoming an integral facet of the games, and Madden is leading the pack. As a departure from other games, Madden 10 has decided to throw in some classics as well as current hits - and it will rock you. Get a load of these songs, and tell me you're not sold on the PS3 Madden 10 soundtrack: "Can't C Me" by 2Pac, "Heads are Gonna Roll" by Airbourne, "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains, "Created a Monster" by B.o.B, "Revolution" by Bang Camaro, "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Get 'Em Up" by Cypress Hill, "Unsung" by Helmet, "Aces High" by Iron Maiden, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, "I Am the Bullgod" by Kid Rock, "Reckoning" by Killswitch Engage, "Blind" by Korn, "Divinations" by Mastodon, "Hate Me Now" by Nas featuring Puff Daddy, "Breed" by Nirvana, "Walk" by Pantera, "Shut 'Em Down" by Public Enemy, "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine, "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" by Set Your Goals, "Duality" by Slipknot, "Sugar" by System of a Down, "Before I Die" by The Vanity Plan," and "Cheah Beah" by Young Dre The Truth. Looks like you need a visit back in time, to the embryonic days of sports video games, if you have your doubts about PS3 Madden 10. Sure, it's questionable to praise today's games simply by damning yesterday's. But when you look at the old versus the new, you can truly appreciate the epic nature of PS3 Madden 10. It makes sense that at the beginning of the video game console revolution, there was a huge demand for football video games. Trouble was, the video game consoles' abilities weren't as fully realized as gamers' football fantasies, so hardcore gamers had to make do with what was there. In any ads or promos, the manufacturers of this one insisted "all the excitement" of the genuine article. And since it was the only game in town, this is what passed for the gridiron.
Those players don't even look human. That's just a harsh fact. You can tell by the image that the game wasn't much, but that's only the half of it. Technology was so inadequate back then, that every moving player flickered to the point where you could barely see the action. The sound effects were just brutal. Things were so limited that a scrolling screen was out of the question. Soon after, this one was given a run for its money with the competition. It was yards better than that first one - people looked a bit more like people, the players no longer flickered, and gamers got their scrolling screen. Still needed work, though.
The video game world was certainly jazzed when that was released, but it wasn't exactly the gold standard. More time would pass in order for that to transpire. This next one, coming out for the next generation of game consoles at the end of the 80s, was a sensation, and still beloved today. For a long time, it was the gold standard by which football video games were held. Not hard to understand why that caught on - they were the first to really bring a more comprehensive simulation of football to the video game console. Graphics and sound were vastly improved, so for many years, this was the video football game. Judging by its online revival, people still enjoy it today in small doses. But even that one can't compete with PS3 Madden 10. Take a look at it, after taking in all of those older games.
Yes, technology has been good to the video game world in general, and the football video game has benefitted from it all. But there's no purpose in ragging on the early games. You get it. Those games did what needed to be done, and we have them to thank, indirectly, for PS3 Madden 10. PS3 Madden 10 is in a whole different stratosphere than its predecessors, and for that, hardcore gamers have every reason to be stoked. Better yet, the reviewers share the same level of PS3 Madden 10 love as the fans, always a good thing. Anytime you read a PS3 Madden 10 review, you'll see things like "realistic and enjoyable." No shocker - EA Sports has scored another touchdown with PS3 Madden 10.
No doubt, PS3 Madden 10 is the real sport of champions, and don't let some douchebag tell you otherwise. Not to disparage the other PlayStation sports video games - they're all pretty excellent in their own right, but PS3 Madden rules the playing field. For many, this is the PlayStation football game by which all others are measured. And it's where they separate the men from the boys, by letting you duke it out for some serious cash.
PlayStation Madden 10 maniacs have the opportunity to challenge each other for some serious cash. The victory - and your opponent's cash - will be in your hands, once you know the score in PS3 Madden 10.
